Responsibilities

  • Providing individual, couples, and/or group therapy
  • Completing charge slips and treatment documentation in a timely fashion
  • Attending consultation seminars and staff meetings
  • Post-doctoral therapists are provided with weekly clinical supervision, group case consultation and didactic training.
  • This is a full-time, 1 year post-doctoral position structured such to meet all requirements for the 1500 hours of post-doctoral Supervised Professional Experience (SPE) necessary for licensure in California. Please note that it is the post-doctoral candidate's responsibility to determine whether this placement will meet the requirements for licensure in other states, as some states require more than 1500 hours of SPE and may have additional regulations regarding these hours.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Postdoctoral Registered Psychological Assistant
  • Must be team oriented
  • Must be inclusive and able to communicate with persons from all educational and cultural backgrounds
  • Enjoys providing mental health services to college students and the community
  • Must demonstrate tact, initiative, resourcefulness, professionalism, enthusiasm, and a non-judgmental attitude
  • Training/experience with diverse populations and multiculturalism a plus
  • Ability to speak languages other than English a plus (Spanish, Mandarin, etc.)
